Design of Information Systems Monitoring Calibration Tool at PT. Eastern Pro Engineering
Abstract
Calibration is a comparison between known measurements (standards) and measurements using instruments. Calibration of the measuring instrument has two objectives, namely to check the accuracy of the instrument and determine traceability of measurement, as a company engaged in the service calibration tool service process at PT. Eastern Pro Engineering starts from the submission of tools that will be calibrated until the billing process is published. During this time the process of filing calibration still uses office applications spredsheet as a supporting application for making calibration submission forms which cause duplication of data processing because data is entered repeatedly, the absence of an integrated inter-division information network that makes the recapitulation process of data and calibration information difficult to access. The lack of availability of data causes no information about the status of working on the calibration tool to the customer so that the customer must ask via telephone or come directly to the office, employees also cannot directly answer questions from the customer because each calibration is carried out in different laboratories which will cause customer dissatisfaction to calibration services and hamper the making of calibration work reports and the implementation of calibration on time. The results of this study are a system that can manage the calibration process and a system that can monitor (monitor) the working status of the calibration tool.
