Development of Asset Management Information Systems at PT. Eastern Pro Engineering

Abstract

The use of computers has proven to help many companies do a better job. The rapid growth of data accumulation has created conditions that are rich in data but lack information. Asset management is the science and art of guiding wealth management which includes the process of planning asset needs, investing, conducting legal audits, assessing, operating, maintaining, renewing or eliminating to transfer assets effectively and efficiently. The importance of asset management is to maintain the value of assets, monitor asset depreciation, facilitate budgeting, avoid purchasing excess assets, create risk management and improve security. The delay in the process of completing the recording of asset data from planning to purchasing orders due to the vulnerability of errors in recapitulation of data and tracking of asset data information because the management of asset data is still in the form of archives and is operated by a computer unit which also causes the accumulation of data on the filing of asset purchases, thereby affecting delays in the completion process recording asset data from receipt to distribution of assets. Inadequate information on asset maintenance scheduling because the asset maintenance process is carried out conditionally, resulting in a mismatch of tool conditions. One way to easily record asset transactions is to build an asset management information system supporting calibration tools. Asset Management Information System at PT. Eastern Pro Engineering can manage asset data, track asset information, provide periodic warnings about the asset maintenance process and provide information on the quality status of calibration supporting tools. The system also generates asset maintenance reports, purchasing order reports and asset purchase submission reports.
